Acne Soap - Effective and Affordable Treatment For Light to Mild Acne

If you are suffering from Acne Conglobata, which is severe acne that is usually characterized by inflammation, deep abscesses, scarring and severe damage to the skin, then the best advice you can get is to visit a dermatologist. However, the acne that is very common to most patients is not the serious type; it is mild acne and can be treated using acne soap which is much more affordable.

As opposed to over the counter treatments, acne soap offers acne patients a bunch of advantages. It is simple because all an acne patient has to do is wash his or a body with this special soap and the condition will be gone in a very short time. As an acne patient, all you have to do is very simple; throw your regular bathing soap to the dustbin and in its place use the best acne soap. This soap is a natural way to treat your acne condition because it has no side effects as opposed to most over the counter drugs. The soap leaves no chemicals residues on your skin and this particularly helpful for those people who have sensitive skin.

There are many people who think that acne soap is confined for the face only. This is a common misconception because this soap is not limited in its use. One can use it on other parts of the body like the chest, legs, back, shoulders, among others. Which other acne treatment covers all that? Unless you go for the most expensive chemical ointments and creams

Medical soaps have been in use for quite a long time now. From the beginning, Glycerin was used as one of the most vital ingredient. It purported to cure acne condition through a dying process. Over time, minerals were added to all varieties of the soap to provide nourishment for the skin. Then Aloe Vera was introduced to acne soap and it became an instant hit for its soothing properties. Then there was the addition of perfumes, sodium peroxides, keratolytic agents, all these meant to differentiate soap brands and increase market share.

Today, a new and more effective approach has been employed to treating acne condition with soap. Acne soaps are being made using a combination of natural fundamental oils that are known to be antibacterial. Thus they are devised to cure acne completely as it is a bacterial infection. Some of the modern soaps are being manufactured with a new component; the mild natural exfoliates that are very effective in removing dead skin. The new acne soaps are not just home prepared remedies. Their formulas are based on very extensive clinical research. Actually, these soaps provide a perfect combination of natural holistic healing and extensive scientific studies.

Acne soaps have pioneered a new natural and effective approach to treating not only acne, but also other skin infections.

How Serious Are Alcohol Withdrawal Symptoms

Alcohol withdrawal symptoms happen when a person who is addicted to alcohol suddenly stops consuming it. Because the alcoholic's body has been dependent to alcohol, immediate withdrawal will give negative side effects to the person's body system. This is the reason why you will see alcoholics starting to shake and stutter once the alcohol content in their body goes down. And in order for them to be normal, they have to consume more alcohol to replace the substance that was lost.

It has always been argued upon if withdrawal symptoms are life threatening or not. This to some degree has led some alcoholics to believe that quitting abruptly might cause severe side effects or even their death. Of course this is a fallacy and it is just being used as an excuse to protect their addiction. Some common symptoms are irritability (mood swings), confusion, depression, diarrhea, fear, hallucinations, headaches, heart palpitations, high blood pressure and insomnia to name a few.

The symptoms mentioned above are just a few examples what a person will feel once he quits or abstains from alcohol. The seriousness on these symptoms will generally depend on how long has the person been addicted to alcohol. A person who has been drinking everyday for 5 years can cope much easily compared from a person who has been drinking everyday for the past 10 years. There are many factors to be considered and not all individuals will act the same if alcohol is removed from their body.

I have known successful quitters who have been drinking almost all their life but they did not suffer severe side effects when they stopped. For them, their strong determination and commitment strengthened them to endure the symptoms they felt during their quitting period. Although from some articles I have read, some quitters succumb to massive heart attacks while others developed serious diseases that later on caused their eventual death. If this is the case then medical assistance is greatly advised especially if the quitter feels really bad during the first day of quitting.

Now these stories should not be a hindrance if you have been drinking for a long period of time and would like to quit. Rather, be positive and never let go of your goal to become a non-alcoholic once more. You may discuss this to your health practitioner which in return will give you some medicine to help you cope up during your withdrawal stage. Don't be shy to open up your vice and addiction, you might need some medical help along the way.

Don't lose focus in fighting your addiction to alcohol. Withdrawal symptoms no matter how severe they are will not last and should never be a hindrance in attaining your goal and objective. Try to regain back your respect and freedom and quit drinking today.

Think Twice Before You Ask Your Doctor To Prescribe Antibiotics

Studies by health experts and reputed doctors have revealed that antibiotics cause more harm than good. By this, it does not mean that antibiotics do not do any good at all. They are good only if you take them when you are sick enough to need them. Of course, if you have undergone a surgery, you need antibiotics so as to ensure that no infection develops at the operated spot. Similarly, you need to take them when you have severe infections such as pneumonia or Pharyngitis due to Strep Throat. If you have common colds with cough, sneezing, etc., antibiotics are not necessary at all.

The problem is that there are many bacteria that are antibiotic-resistant also. They may survive the antibiotics you take and since they are quite strong, they may multiply more quickly than you expect.

It is true that the common cold you may be suffering from is viral. But common cold is not bacteria. So, you can not treat it with antibiotics. Further, antibiotics are capable of killing all types of bacteria in your body and this means that they will kill both the bad bacteria and the good bacteria. The gut in your system is full of good bacteria and only with their help, you are able to get your food digested. The number of such good bacteria in your body is more than the number of cells in your body. These good bacteria that are otherwise known as "intestinal flora" bestow immense health benefits on you. If you study about them, you will come to know these intestinal flora can ferment the energy substrates that remain unused, they can train body's immune system, can keep the growth of species that are harmful at bay, can regulate the gut's development, produce vitamins like Biotin, Vitamin K, etc. and also the required hormones that direct the body in the process of proper storage of fats.

By taking antibiotics when not needed, you will be killing these good bacteria. Instead, you should ask your doctor the ways to supply your body with probiotics. The best source of probiotics are fermented foods. Even fermented vegetables are good for improving the amount of good bacteria in your gut.

Simply put, you should take antibiotics only if you suffer from life-threatening illnesses or if you have undergone a surgery. You should never forget the fact that antibiotics are not capable of killing viruses. If you eat the right types of foods including fermented foods and do your exercises regularly, you may not fall sick at all and so, you may never think of taking antibiotics. Of course, your fermented foods will keep supplying your body with probiotics that may help you to have a good amount of good bacteria in your gut.

Ragi–King of Nutrition

Ragi, also called finger millet, is a cereal crop. India is a major cultivator of this crop, with the state of Karnataka being the largest producer of ragi in the country. Being a cheap crop, it is widely used by the poorer sections of the society.

The nutritional benefits of ragi

Nutritionally, when ragi is used as a whole grain, it is higher in protein and minerals in comparison to rice.  Red millet is primarily a source of energy in the diet with each serving of ragi (20g) providing 66kcal. It is also rich in fibre and therefore suitable for people trying to lose weight. Ragi, unlike wheat does not contain gluten (a protein found in wheat), and can be easily consumed by people with wheat intolerance.

Ragi is a wonder cereal grain as it has numerous health benefits:

Good source of calcium – Amongst cereals, ragi is particularly rich in calcium, a mineral essential for good bone health. It is a very good source of natural calcium for growing children and older adults, and helps improve bone strengthening.

Energy for weight watchers – Finger millet is a good source of energy for weight watchers, as it contains the amino acid tryptophan that reduces the appetite. Besides, being high in fibre, it provides a feeling of fullness when consumed, and keeps the urge to eat frequently under control.

Beats high sugar and cholesterol – Ragi is beneficial for diabetics as well as those with high cholesterol, as the high fibre content of Ragi makes it a food item with low glycaemic index. That is, it results in slow increase in blood sugar level.

Good mix of amino acids – Due to a good amino acid mix in ragi, it is beneficial for tissue repair, relieving migraine, improving the metabolic rate of the body, optimal muscle coordination, and helps reduce the bad cholesterol (LDL-cholesterol). The amino acids lecithin and methionine eliminate excessive fat from the liver, and in turn reduce the cholesterol content of the body.

Source of iron – Being a good source of iron, it is beneficial of individuals with low haemoglobin level.

Excellent baby food – As ragi is low in fat, and is gluten free, it is easily digested. It is therefore, given as first foods to babies in the form of Ragi Seri. Being a good source of calcium in the diet, it is good for bone development in babies.

Also good for new moms – Besides, it is also given to new mother to improve the haemoglobin levels. Lactating mothers are made to eat green ragi, as it improves milk production.

Ragi mudde is a common preparation of ragi eaten with sambar. Being high in fibre, ragi is incorporated in multi-grain biscuits and bread to enhance the fibre content of the product. Ragi can be used to make porridge, upma, cakes, biscuits, dosas and many other preparations.

Body Building - Is Your Workout Routine Good For Your Body Type?

You can garner many benefits when you follow a solid body building program. A few of those benefits are faster muscle growth and more efficient metabolism. And if you continue following a program, you will surely have a greater physical appearance.

However, for those people who recently started working out, they might think that following a program is difficult. Nevertheless, once they get the hang of it, bulking up might become more effective and easier for them. And for them to get the hang of it, they will need to follow the quick tips below.

First, you must set a very realistic goal. Because you must face it, body building takes a lot of time and patience. And many people have given up hope just because they did not see any changes on their first week.

The effective way to set a realistic goal is to write down the weight you would want for every three months. This will prevent you from expecting a lot every time that you look into the mirror.

In your body building program, you will need to focus different parts of your body on different days of the week. For example, you will train your upper body every Monday and Wednesday, while you will train your lower body every Tuesday and Thursday. You must do this for the parts of your body to get some rest.

The exercises you must that you must choose must target two or more muscle groups. If you do that, your muscles will have a solid foundation. In addition, doing that will reduce the time you need when you work out.

On the other hand, you should do exercises that only target one muscle group when you need to. The times when you need to do that kind of exercises is when a certain muscle's size or shape is being left behind. For example, if your biceps do not appear proportioned to your shoulder muscles, you must tone and train your biceps alone to fix it.

And here is another important tip, make sure that you master first the basic exercises before you move forward on doing the advanced variations of exercises. Always remember that performing the wrong form of your exercises might result into deformed muscle shapes.

And that is all about it. Make sure that you incorporate all of those tips in your body building program. Rest assured that once you do that, you would have a great physique in the future.

Natural Hair Tips

For all my men and women out there who are growing out their natural hair I commend you. Natural Hair IS NOT an easy task nor is it something you can do without knowledge of your hair. When transitioning there are a few things you need to keep in mind along the way. Listed below I have included a few tips and tricks of the trade that you should know.

Natural Hair Tips

Pre Poo

This means to moisturize your hair before you actually shampoo. It doesn't strip your hair from its natural oils or take away moisture. You do not have to use any expensive products cheaper ones usually work just as fine. You can use Olive oil to pre poo or a rinse out conditioner. There is no need to measure out the exact amount you will use because everyone is different. Leave on for about 30 minutes then rinse out.

Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse

Apple cider vinegar clarifies and restores shine, removes buildup and environmental residue, locks in moisture and helps with detangling natural locks. It also kills the bacteria that cause dandruff. You can use this rinse before and after you shampoo. Massage in one part water and one part Organic Apple Cider into the scalp. (Make sure it is Organic) leave on for 30 minutes then rinse with cold water. Do not use more than once a week. Make sure to use small amounts and DILUTE! Too much of this will damage hair and contribute to dryness.

Deep Condition

Deep conditioning makes hair shine and allows you to wear natural styles for longer periods of time.

Clarify your hair every 4-6 weeks or when necessary. Many Natural hair products are thick and creamy which can cause build up if used on a daily basis. Build up on the hair can make the hair look dull and cause breakage. A hydrating shampoo is recommended because it adds moisture to your hair.

Cold Water Rinse

Washing your hair with warm water opens the cuticle of the hair. When doing your final rinse using cold water is preferred, because it closes the cuticle and leaves a smooth and shiny finish.

NO Sulfates

Sulfates are harsh chemicals that can harm your hair. They can cause damage, breakage and dry hair. STAY AWAY from Shampoos that contain sulfates.

Comb through hair thoroughly with conditioners, and not just the outside perimeter of your hair. If you do not comb conditioners thoroughly through your hair, you can cause matting, tangling and knots which many times results in breakage.

Hair Styling

If you are wearing braids or extensions, avoid tension around the hairline. Unnecessary tugging and pulling around the edges cause breakage and bald spots.

Coping With Incontinence Through Adult Diapers

Incontinence is a bladder condition that causes involuntary leakage of urine. It is a common problem among older people. The most common consequence of having this embarrassing condition is to frequently wear dark clothes to hide urine stains. Incidentally, one practical way to cope with incontinence is to use adult diapers.

Many products are now available for incontinence care like drip collectors, pads and underwear, but the most appropriate and beneficial are adult diapers. Adult diapers may be reusable or disposable. The reusable type can be washed and dried for reuse while the disposable variety is thrown away after use. Reusable adult diapers are made up of cotton fibbers which are less absorbent, and come with a coat of plastic pants to prevent leakage. However, frequent use can cause rashes as the skin is directly in contact with ammonia. Disposable adult diapers, on the other hand, are multilayered and with high absorbent quality. Hence, it keeps the skin dry and prevents itching and rashes. The reusable type is more environment-friendly as it causes fewer hazards to the environment with its disposal as compared to the disposable type. The disposable variety, however, is more convenient and not as labor-intensive since no washing and drying is needed, just proper garbage disposal.

Both varieties have their advantages and disadvantages, but the important thing is to use one which best suits your lifestyle and budgetary considerations. Reusable diapers are most suitable for those who are staying at home and are not inconvenienced by washing and drying, while disposable adult diapers are best for those who travel a lot. The reusable variety is slightly more expensive than the disposable type, but using it is more cost efficient in the long run because lesser packs are needed in a daily or weekly basis.

Incontinence is common among the elderly and may be embarrassing to most sufferers, but it is not the end. It is a medical condition shared by many people, and there are many support groups and message boards available for you to share experiences and ideas on how to cope with it.

The adult diaper is not solely for the elderly. Mothers suffering from stress incontinence also use it, as well as many young people with special medical conditions and circumstances. The adult diaper benefits a wide range of people who are seeking comfort and relief from incontinence. Fortunately, it is available for sale even online, so one doesn't have to leave the comforts of their home to purchase it.
